Through my Chinese perspective, Dutch ceramicshave consistently captivated me, evoking a sense ofodd familiarity. The ceramic collection at theZuiderzee Museum has enticed me to delve into thehistory of the "golden age" when China wasintroduced, embraced, and gradually integrated intoDutch culture.

I aspire to replicate this historical process bytransforming tulip vases into objects that may strikethe Dutch as oddly familiar. This endeavor aims tocelebrate the profound sparks that emergedbetween two cultures in both historical times andthe contemporary era.
